HELP & INFORMATION
Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers about plant care, purchasing, local pickup and shipping.
Where are you located?
Our babies are grown in Adelaide, within a controlled environment and a watering/feeding regime that has them strong and healthy, ready for their journey to their new homes.
Do you do plant/setup tours?
Not at this stage. Our plants are treated like royalty in a secure and controlled environment.
How can I stay tuned in to new arrivals?
Register for your Aroyds newsletter via the website and follow us on Instagram to avoid the dreaded FOMO. If you miss out on a plant you had your heart set on, please feel free to reach out, and we'll do our very best to get you that plant. If you have a wish list plant that you haven't seen on the website or socials, again, please reach out and we'll see what we can do to make it happen!
Is the plant in the photo the one I'll receive?
Absolutely! Unless stated otherwise, the plant you see is the one you will receive.
Will all plants be restocked?
No. Particularly with Anthuriums, we often sell one-of-a-kind plants, so you'll have to snap them up when you see them! However, we do propagate like a bat out of hell, so feel free to hit us up and check anyway. Other genera are more likely to be restocked.
When the order arrives? What should I do when I receive my plant?
Open up the package as soon as possible. We recommend quarantining your plant for a week to exercise caution and protect your existing collection and using your favourite pest prevention methods.
Should I repot my plant straight away?
Generally speaking, we recommend waiting 2 weeks until the plant is settled into your environment before repotting it into your tried and tested potting mix, catered to your growing conditions. This will reduce the overall shock the plant experiences throughout the shipping period. However, if you suspect any issues, or notice a decline of any sort, we recommend gently removing the plant and inspecting the root system without disturbing it too much. In our experience, more has gone wrong by blindly adhering to the 2-week settling method, than intervening the moment we suspect something is awry.
What if the plant/s arrive in poor condition?
This will be a case-by-case basis, but we take pride in doing everything we can to ensure the plants arrive in their new homes exactly how they left us. Please take photos or a video of your unboxing, and if we are responsible, we will do everything we can to resolve the issue and adhere to our guarantee of plants being alive on arrival. However, we don't take responsibility for the package's treatment once it leaves our care.
When do you ship?
Plants will be shipped Monday's and Tuesday's.
Where do you ship?
All Australian states. At this stage plants can only be shipped to Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Tasmania via concierge, which will need to be arranged by the customer. Uprooted are commonly used for their concierge service ( Plant Concierge – Uprooted ).
How do you ship?
All plants are carefully packed in the pot and medium it has been growing in, and delicately secured with the utmost care before being dispatched via express post. Plants will get the regal treatment and arrive in a fluffy cloud of polyester fiberfill. All orders go through Australia Post.
